How to Become a Textile Designer

Introduction:
At present, the entertainment world is booming. In the same way, the scope of the textile world is growing with equal scale. That is why the textile design industry is gaining popularity. As a result, the demand for textile designers is increasing day by day. But being a textile designer is not an easy task. They have to know everything from weaving cloth to decoration on the ground. So depending on the demand this profession has become popular.

What is Textile Design?
Textile design is the reflection of anything related to textiles. Usually when making oven cloth the inter placement of the yarn drawn and read is reflected in the cloth and again different designs are embossed on the cloth using different colors in different designs. Basically the same is called textile design. And the person who does this design is called a textile designer.

How to Become a Textile Designer?
To be a textile designer, one needs to have some qualities besides formal education. How to become a textile designer is discussed below:

1. Must possess creative qualities:
Textile design has become an integral part of the industry along with other branches like fashion, clothing interior design and fine arts. Textile designing is currently a creative field that includes fashion design, carpet production and all textile related fields such as: clothing, carpets, drips, towels etc. The perfect skills of textile designers are revealed through textile design. Textile designers complete a design with their creative vision by deeply understanding the properties of fibers, yarns and dyes, including the technical aspects of production. So to be a textile designer one has to have creative qualities. They have to bring creativity in the way of thinking.

2. Good idea about the structure of the fabric:
Textile design is mainly expressed in terms of the structural aspects of the fabric. So have to keep an eye on the textile structure. A designer should have an idea about how to embellish a design on a fabric by using different colored yarns. Textiles are designed based on the texture of the fabric. Textile designs usually remain permanent on the fabric. So if anyone wants to be a textile designer, they have to keep these things in mind. Textile designers need to know lifting, that is, he has to have an idea of ​​which one will go up and which one will go down. As a result, the textile designers can easily explain this to the weaver. 4. Educational qualifications:
Having a textile design degree can help textile designers start their careers. But, degree alone cannot bring success in this profession. For that reason, designers also need a professional portfolio, work experience and a professional network to enter the textile industry. In this case, professional success depends entirely on skill.

5. Must be patient:
A textile designer must be patient. They have to fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and sincerity. Work cannot be neglected. Because everything from weaving cloth to surface design on the ground takes a lot of time. They also have to think about new designs. So don’t be impatient.

6. Training:
If anyone wants to be a textile designer, they can take training in this field. With training, an idea is easily formed on this subject. This makes it easy to create their own portfolio. Besides, one has to have an idea about the design of the ground. So, textile designer should take training in weaving cloth and decorating its exterior.

7. Emphasis on embroidery:
Different types of sewing are used to design textile surfaces. This is called embroidery. However, due to industry and mechanics, embroidery has become the standard. Hand sewing still remains in some areas of the textile industry. However, it is not limited to cross stitch, chain stitch and couch. The quilting process applies insulation, warming and aesthetic properties to the textile. And a textile designer has to keep an eye on these aspects. Otherwise one can’t be a designer.
